“Emerging Harlem RNB artist Mia Jae sat down with our own Daniesha Nixon and discussed attending the Grammys, billboard plaque with Curren$y, Is RNB dead + more.”

Mia released her sophomore album "Midnight in Monte Carlo" on Friday (16 Jun) to add to her debut album "Couples Therapy" (Feb '20),  seven singles and EP so far released.

The seven track album contains her last three singles "Closer" (May '23), "Til You" (Mar '23) and "I'm 'Okay' Now" (Nov '22) which are probably the strongest tracks..

“Searching for the best outlet of self expression, and finding it within songwriting, Mia transitioned into the mainstream music world back in 2018, full time. I first got to wind of Mia Jae by hearing her perform live at The Groove in NYC’s East Village. Since that live performance, Mia has released her first single of 2022 with the 70’s inspired “Put It On Me.”

“…Jae’s confident songwriting and alluring vocals wear the production like a finely tailored suit…as the album is based on reality. It’s this candid level of honesty that runs in the veins of the tracklist and permeates in every bar.”

“Perhaps a perfect companion for the post-relationship grieving process, kind of like a female version of John Legend’s debut Get Lifted, Couples Therapy is a concise slice of top-shelf, soulful R&B.”

“Mia Jae uses her music as a therapeutic guide through those moments as she recollects memories of love and loss with the release of her Valentine’s Day EP, ‘Couples Therapy”

“Her vocal presence on this project, produced by Termanology, provides a soulful sound that easily captivates listeners.”
